We are writing to share some exciting news that will come into effect from the 1st January 2018. Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA) and 21st Century Tiger have joined forces to support wild tiger and Amur leopard conservation under a new name ‘WildCats Conservation Alliance’. We will continue as a partnership between Zoological Society of London and Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation, based in Regent’s Park, London.
This change is the result of a desire to streamline administration, resources and roles under one initiative. In turn we can work more effectively, raising awareness and funds for conservation projects for all subspecies of tigers and the Amur leopard.
There will be little change in our current procedures and we will continue working with all our stakeholders; zoos, donors, projects and advisors as usual. All pre-existing agreements for targeting donations to specific subspecies will continue to be honoured and will remain as an option.
Our brand new website and updated social media will be available from January 2018 but our new logo and guidelines will be available to download ahead of time. We are not expecting interpretation to be immediately re-branded but to be an ongoing process.
We are working hard to ensure that the transition to WildCats Conservation Alliance will be as seamless and easy for everyone as possible.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
With best wishes,
Esther Conway (21st Century Tiger) & Jo Cook (ALTA)
