Zoo conservation – shout out!
Please give a big shout-out to the latest zoos to contribute essential funds for the conservation of tigers and Amur leopards!
Good zoos around the world are making serious commitments to conserving our planet, whether by carrying out local science-based conservation projects, investing in conservation breeding programmes of endangered species, educating and inspiring visitors through practical engagement or contributing funds to large-scale international conservation activities run by national and international NGOs.
Zoo contributions make up an average of 75% of WildCats income, some of them are large gifts such as that of Chessington World of Adventure, Greenville Zoo and NaturZoo Rheine – great work! others are small but regular and long-term – thank you Paradise Wildlife Park and some are new contributors to our programme – hello Ballarat.
