Amur Leopard Virtual Run

Zookeepers at the Memphis Zoo are organizing the first annual Conservation Amur Leopard Virtual Run! 

Amur leopard Memphis ZooThe virtual 5k is simply a 5k done on your own time. Anyone in the world can participate. Participants can run any time between April 1st and April 25th  and if local, can visit the zoo on April 25th to pick up their medal, tote, and visit the zoo’s Amur Leopard Day activities including a silent auction for an incredible gift basket. This virtual 5k will benefit the conservation of the critically endangered Amur leopards. There are  ~100 individuals left in the wild making it one of the rarest big cats in the world. The Memphis Zoo holds an Amur leopard as part of the regional conservation breeding programme and its zookeepers are dedicated to the conservation of this important leopard subspecies.
