Global Tiger Day was launched during the last Chinese Year of the Tiger (2010), by leaders of the 13 tiger range countries and NGOs working to protect these beautiful animals from extinction.  Together, these advocates for wild tigers decided that by the next Year of the Tiger (2022), the focus should be to double their global population. At the time, the global population was estimated to be in the region of 3200.

Today there are around 4000 tigers living in the wild across Asia, and in 2018 we hope to raise an additional £10,000 from our supporters.  More donations mean that we could extend our work and work towards this goal.  WildCats is unique, in that 100% of our donations go directly to carefully assessed conservation projects.  This is thanks to our initiative between Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation and Zoological Society of London who support all of our administration.

Whether you can hold a workplace fundraising event (even if its on a different day!), or would like to purchase one of our gorgeous packs or can simply just share some of our social media images you will be helping us to make a huge difference.

Whatever your plans this Global Tiger Day – please don’t turn your backs on wild tigers, check out our dedicated page and spread the word!
