Poachers arrested with Sumatran tiger

Two men were arrested on Wednesday 1th August in possession of a skin and skeleton of an adult Sumatran tiger. The law enforcement was conducted in the Merangin district in the east of the Kerinci Seblat National Park in Sumatra, following an investigation launched in the west of the park in Bengkulu province. Law enforcement was conducted by the Kerinci Seblat Tiger Protection and Conservation Unit in partnership with Merangin district police and with a KSDA (Ministry of Environment and Forestry) officer joining the team.
