Poachers arrested with Sumatran tiger

Two men were arrested on Wednesday 11th August in possession of a skin and skeleton of an adult Sumatran tiger. Following an investigation which started in the west of the park in Bengkulu province, the activity was carried out in the Merangin district in the east of the Kerinci Seblat National Park in Sumatra. The Kerinci Seblat Tiger Protection and Conservation Unit conducted the law enforcement in partnership with the district police and with a KSDA (Ministry of Environment and Forestry) officer joining the team.
