Fota Wildlife Park in the Republic of Ireland recently donated €7,500 to Sumatran tiger conservation taking its contribution to WildCats Conservation Alliance to over €50,000. Money Fota donates is used to fund projects in Kerinci Seblat National Park, one of the most important sites for tiger conservation on Sumatra. More details about these projects and the work they do can be seen here on the Indonesia project pages
Fota Wildlife Park is home to five Sumatran tigers including young cub Dash that are part of the European conservation breeding programme. This programme ensures that there is a healthy reserve population of Sumatran tigers if ever needed.
Thank you to all the staff and visitors to Fota Wildlife Park for their support
